From his humble beginnings, Gomez's rise to greatness in the DC area is evident in his fans. He has been getting rave reviews from local and national press. Did we mention the celebrity clients, the Bush twins included? This might explain why he attended the Queen's recent visit to the White House. Don't believe me; check his "celebrity" page on his website. Noteworthy, Gomez, a self-proclaimed make-up and eyebrow guru, also offers an impressive selection of spa and hair salon services. In addition to doing everything right, Gomez also has some cool client offerings including the use of Apple iBooks during a pedicure.

What an amazing store. For those that aren’t familiar with M.A.C. Cosmetics, expect to find a fun store with thumping music and uber cool make-up artists. M.A.C. shops carry homegrown, top of the line items without the hefty price tag. Unlike a number of high-end cosmetics, M.A.C. is reasoably priced versus competition. Now be warned, prices won't be as low as your local CVS, but it is worth the extra dollars. Special note, the shop has fabulous makeovers for women of all ages. Some of my best tips have come from the lovely ladies of M.A.C. Note, M.A.C. also has counters at Nordstrom. I have found the Nordstrom locations to have a less frazzled staff that have more time to assist with a wonderful makeover.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty. I couldn’t resist. This is a great store that has always called out to you as you pass it in the mall. Of course with baby in tow, it hardly seems like the ideal venue for you and child. Take a hour and head to this store…solo. You will really love the endless supply of fragrance, cosmetics and bath & body products. The great thing about Sephora is that they are an equal opportunity offender. They carry tons of brands of your favorite or soon-to-be favorite products. I found a rose sauve that Bath and Body Works had discontinued. They have everything beauty. Noteworthy, they even carry a line of men’s products for hubby.
PR AT PARTNERS

PR AT PARTNERS, with its multiple locations, has perfected its salon offering over the years. All the usual suspects have raved about PR AT PARTNERS. Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Post and Northern Virginia Magazine have all weighed in on this popular chain. The only question mark that remains is "What do they do best?” Noteworthy, a consistent execution of color, cuts, massages and facials have made PR AT PARTNERS rise above the mediocrity of a "chain" salon. You won't be disappointed. |
