We are headed out of town for some much needed rest and relaxation at the beach. Things will be quiet around here as I’m not sure if there will be internet access where we are going. (Gasp! I know!)
This does not mean I will not be active though! I’m still bringing some of my favorite exercise equipment, such as:
- my kettlebell and my new DVD Baby Bells the Fit Pregnancy Kettlebell Workout DVD Lauren Brooks

- my favorite running shoes: Saucony Women’s ProGrid Triumph 5

- a jumprope and SPRI Xertube Resistance Band

- my jogging stroller, Dreamer Design Ditto Jogger Stroller Lite
, (although I prefer to run alone!) *edited to add that this company has apparently closed up shop and is no longer

The countdown 'til the last day of school has finally entered the very low single digits! I have to admit that I'm just as excited as Mimi is about the beginning of summer. Spending lazy hours at the pool and in the garden, sleeping in a little bit later, cooking on the grill, what's not to like?!
Vacation time also means, surprise, list time for me. My brother-in-law has made fun of me for years about my proclivity for making lists. I just love them and really can't function without them. Even though I use Microsoft Outlook religiously for my calendar, address book and, of course, email, the "Task" function has never lit my fire. I think I just need the added tactile buzz of putting pen

I love it when celebrities wear clothing that the average person can afford. Kim is styling in this H&M frock that just hit stores last week. For more fun looks take a peek at the H&M site. As is the case with most of H&M clothing, go to the store and really look and feel the merchandise. While I love the style...not all items are created equal. Go for the dresses, jeans and suits that are kind to you and be sure that the fabric will hold up over times.
Final note...while most true fashionistas might scoff at this statement, I would still pick a pair of H&M Jeans over Lucky Brand any day of the week.

Does a million dollars seem like a lot of money? Do you ever wonder what you would do if you had a million dollars? Are you worth a million dollars? While I can't answer the first two questions, I might be able to answer the third. No, it's not about how much money you have, or necessarily about how much you earn.
Worth is a lot more than your salary or your current assets. It's the present value of what you do, who depends on you and what it would cost to replace you or your spouse. Without knowing I would bet that you, like many women, are underestimating the value of what you bring to your family, your business and/or the worthy causes you care about.
Just think about it. You earn a

We had a great time "car camping" at Bull Run Park last Friday. Yes, the Friday of the torrential thunderstorms. Luckily, the storms stopped as we were pulling into our campsite so we quickly put up our tent and picnic canopy. As the next wave of rain came, we were cozily ensconced under the canopy, snacking away, enjoying our friends, and keeping (relatively) dry.
Since camping season is upon us, I've been thinking about organizing camping gear. Especially if you're facing a rainy set-up, you want the most essential things packed close-at-hand. You also don't want to finally find the salt and pepper just as you are packing up to leave!
Here are a few tips for family-style gear

So what is it about The Great Zucchini that makes him the #1 children's performer in the DC Metro area? In search of answers I sat down with "The Great One" (my new name for him). Even after an hour long meeting and a 30 minute show for my daughter's preschool class, I still found it difficult to describe the exact lure of this one man wonder. I will leave it to the French; he has that certain "je ne sais quoi", that certain something that is hard to illustrate or explain.
At first blush, it is easy to say "I don't get it". Surely anyone meeting Eric Knaus for the first time would assume he is off to meet his buddies for a drink rather than heading to yet another $300 performance for
