Yes, I finally got around to reading Eclipse. I saw Twilight last year, then HAD to read the book. Then I HAD to read New Moon. Then I saw New Moon when it came out.

The ‘Be With Me Playseum' is now open in Bethesda!
I visited the playseum on Friday before it's Grand Opening... and it's GREAT!
It has all different ‘areas'... a grocery store, a radio station, the solar system, a stage,
a grandmother's attic and more.
Each area has activities and books, and you can play with your kids
or sit and get a cup of coffee and watch them have fun!
What a great idea?!
Admission is $5 a person-
They have adventure areas ranging for 9 months- 14 years old.
Song and Story times daily-
The playseum is open Monday thru Saturday-
9:30am - 6pm.
It's on Wisconsin Avenue, in the heart of Bethesda,
right next to the Orvis Store, on the lower level!
301- 807- 8028
It's truly a nice

Yep, I saw New Moon yesterday! I waited a week or so- so my friend and I were not mobbed by tween girls.
I was a little wary of what the final cut would be like because I have read some not-so-spectacular reviews...
AND...
It's Great !!!!!!!
If you have not seen Twilight, do not go and see this movie, watch Twilight, then, see this movie.
OR BETTER YET- READ THE BOOKS,
then, watch the movie;
with that said:
What a really liked about this movie is how the director moves it along...
The middle of this book is depressing, as Bella longs for Edward, but the movie keeps moving along and Bella doesn't seem all-that-depressed as she develops her ‘friendship' with Jacob... the Werewolf.
This movie is FUN!

My last post was about Disney On Ice. This is completely separate Disney news- and very good news at that!
Disney has put it's HUGE Library of Books online, for the 1st time ever!
What's even better is that there are no games and mass advertising on this site,it's just books.
Your child ‘turns' the pages; they can be read to, or read themselves. They can move their ‘pen' over a word to get the pronunciation, or even the definition.
I LOVE this idea!
But- this is not free. I believe it is reasonable, however.
Go to Disney Digital Books, and see for yourself-
You can get a month subscription for $8.95 (this is for up to 3 children) or an annual membership for $79.95 (also for up to 3

Well, we made it 3 weeks in this household before purple grape juice was spilled all over my son's brand new, white, uniform shirt...
3 THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN 3 WEEKS FROM WEARING UNIFORMS TO SCHOOL:
* Suggest that your son change out of his uniform when he gets home from school
* If he is tired and doesn't want to- ‘make it a rule' that he changes out of his uniform, when he gets home from school
* Have a BIG bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide on hand, at all times, to get out stains (I do. And Hydrogen Peroxide does get ANYTHING out of clothes. You may have to soak the shirt, etc. in a bowl, but the stain WILL come out.).
** Note: I realize this picture is not of

Where are the words? How does one begin to explain bliss?
A calmness, an unhurriedness (I don't think that's a word- but it should be)... I just took my first trip to Target by myself... I mean EVER!
I had time to look for things,
I made a list,
I stocked up paper supplies for the house- toilet paper, paper towels, napkins (Paper supplies are always less expensive at Target)!
I bought myself a new curling iron: I've been meaning to do that for MONTHS!
I found a great pair of pajama pants that I ACTUALLY GOT TO TRY ON!
I bought my son a polo shirt with Bears on it (his favorite animal) for $7.99,
I saw 3 moms I knew there!
I told 1 of them that it was my first trip to Target By Myself, to

I am constantly amazed by how many great things there are to do in the DC area!
And thanks to our wonderful parks system, they are by and large- FREE!
I recently found - The Locust Grove Nature Center and it's right off Democracy Blvd. in Bethesda!
You walk over a little bridge into the Nature Center area and there are lots of things to play with and see, they even have a butterfly garden!
I found this place through Fun and Learning, a great mom blog about things to do in Montgomery County. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've driven by the little sign hundreds of times and not noticed it. I'm so aware, it scares me!
It's at 7777 Democracy Blvd., right past Montgomery Mall... who knew?
Well, Fun

Has anyone ever heard of this? 2 of my friends swear by it.
There are lots of gnats around lately...
want to get rid of them?
If you are grilling out or playing or just sitting around in some adirondack chairs-
FILL UP ZIPLOCK SANDWICH BAGS WITH WATER,
ALMOST FULL, NOT ALL THE WAY.
Put these bags on tables, the arms of chairs, etc.
AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN THE SUN!
The scattering of light by the water in the bags confuses gnats and flies,
AND THUS, they stay away!
I haven't tried this myself, because I haven't had the need,
but if you have a sandwich bag, you can try it- FOR FREE.
Let me know your results
Happy De- Bugging !

Last Friday my son and I had a great time at Wheaton Regional Park! We were there for ‘Fresh Fit Friday at the Park' with sandwiches, chips, beverages, and bags of apple slices (great for kids!) provided by Subway !
Wheaton Regional Park has a train and carousel and playgrounds and picnic areas!!
Thanks to ResourcefulMommy for inviting us- check out her site for great tips on just about everything!
And also check out TeachMama - She has a great site on ingenious ways to teach your kids;
She and her cute kids were at the picnic too- She's awesome
Check out Wheaton Regional if you get a chance- their link doesn't work,
but it's in Wheaton (obviously) and off of Georgia Avenue.
ENJOY!

This morning we went to ‘Lyle The Crocodile' at
Imagination Stage!
The show was great!
And with seats starting at $10 and going up to $21,
you can't go wrong.
Parking is easy, with a parking garage a few steps away.
The cast was great!
Another little bonus- their website shows you the theater's seating chart, what seats are still available,
AND shows you the view from that seat when you move your cursor over it!
ENJOY!

Bored of the Pool?
Take a ‘Field Trip' to White's Ferry!
If you live in Montgomery County, MD or Leesburg, VA and the surrounding areas-
it's an easy trip!
White's Ferry is a ferry service offering transportation across the Potomac river between Maryland and Virginia. It's located just north of Leesburg on the Virginia side and about 6 miles west of Poolesville on the Maryland side.
Vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists are welcome. The fare for cars is $4 for one way and $7 for a roundtrip crossing.
They also have an old country store that serves lunch, and picnic tables!
NOW THE IMPORTANT PART:
This is a fun little trip for kids... My son had never been on a ferry before, so he loved it.

On Thursday I had pleasure of going to PunditMom's house for a great Book Party! The Book- Womenomics- By Claire Shipman and Katty Kay.
What a lovely morning- coffee, good discussion, great women... and a welcome distraction from my son's last day going to camp or school at Bradley Hills Nursery School where we've both grown up over the past 3 years...
But back to the Book Party-
I like this book. I'm not done it yet, but it is inspirational. It is practical too: some may think-
‘I can't negotiate with my boss?!'
‘I need my job, I'm not going to ask for more.'
But that's the point of this book- you can- you have to start thinking that you can,
and work from there.
Katty Kay and Claire Shipman are

Giant Food just announced to Mom Bloggers in the area about their ‘Shop For Health, Eat for Life’ Program! I was unable to attend their ‘Kick-Off’ event, but as a happy Giant shopper, I want to spread the word about this great program because Giant continues to make things easier for moms, and listens to their shoppers.

* Help individuals and their families reduce their risk of cancer
and
