My DVR is cleared, my cabinet is full of chocolate biscotti and my little one is safely in preschool from 9am t0 Noon on April 29th! I simply can not wait to come home after school drop off and watch every taped minute of the royal wedding!

Oh Lord...thank you for technology. Thank you for knowing that it would be too much to get up at 4am. Thank you for YouTube, Tivo, DVRs, podcasts, apps and endless network coverage of this seemingly random day (for most) in history.

After a long cold winter, nothing chases away the chill like a visit to the farm! Come see our spring chicks and baby animals, check out the greens & spring plantings, take a hayride and rejoice in the spring! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt & Marshmallow Peep Maze is included with your paid farm admission. Do marshmallow peeps grow on trees? Be sure to check it out and harvest a few to roast on the bonfire with Farmer Bob. Your children will love to ride in our Cow Train ($2 each).

My Tour Of The 2011 DreamHome @ The Washington Design Center

I recently toured the new DREAMHOME - Jewel Tone of Design exhibit at the Washington Design Center. I had an opportunity to meet the designers and view the inspiring jewelry collections that informed the space.

It was wonderful to meet with the talented designers and have them share different design elements and installations that only a trained eye would normally recognize. As a design voyeur it was a wonderful morning.

I approached some of the designers and, for those with children, asked how they managed a busy career and home life. I was relieved to hear that most struggled to keep all the balls in the air and said that a supportive partner was a must! And here I thought they
