As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of Company's Coming. This is truly the most unique cooking class that I have ever experienced. This awesome cooking class blends food, wine and fun all into a delightful evening. The setting is a 1913 home in Cleveland Park. Classes are taught by Ed and Jinny, a spirited couple who have been sharing their culinary skills with the DC Metro area for years. RECIPE:
1 heaping tablespoon canned pumpkin
1 1/2 ounces sweetened condensed milk
2 ounces milk
1 ounce Fees Brothers Spiced Cordial Syrup
2 graham crackers
Graham cracker crumb rim and whipped cream
Grind graham crackers into fine crumbs in a food processor. Pour onto a small plate. On a separate plate, pour a small amount of spiced cordial syrup. Dip the rim of the martini glass into the syrup, then into the graham cracker crumbs, set aside. Vigorously shake milk, sweetened condensed milk, remaining spiced cordial syrup, and pumpkin into mixing glass, with ice. Slowly strain into rimmed martini glass. Top with a dollop of whipped cream.

My evening in Georgetown at the District Sample Show did not disappoint! The setting...a brick exposed two story venue on M Street was the backdrop for over 20 DC Metro area boutiques selling their end-of-season wares.

It is not often that I get this excited about an album. I am a fickle radio listener and often times just buy or download the music that will get me through my endless runs on the treadmill. Recently I found myself leaving the Christmas station on Sirius to find any of Beyoncé's new songs. My daughter was a bit ticked that "Frosty the Snowman" was being replaced with "Single Ladies - Put a Ring On It". I couldn't resist.
