Lifetime Fitness Perfect for Parents And Kids!
This gym, worthy of Hercules, houses a monster selection of free weights, cardio equipment, treadmills, lifecycles, elliptical machines, and Stairmasters. An array of classes including: cardio kickboxing, spinning, yoga, and low impact options as well. The club also has a full service salon and spa, a cafe and an indoor pool. What did it for me was the childcare center. They have a tube maze, computers, tons of toys and more. In addition to a lap pool, there is an awesome slide and fountains for kids. Member rates are competitive and offer monthly memberships. The childcare center does charge a small monthly fee. Little ones can check in for up to two hours. My trips include workouts, computer time (free Wi-Fi) in the café and even a cut, color and highlights. Lifetime offers personal trainers, a multitude of kiddie classes, and even kid’s birthday parties. Camps are also offered during the summer. I am constantly on the look out for inspirational websites. I can easily get lost in a decorating and design website that intrigues me. While preparing for a recent bathroom renovation, I stumbled onto this amazing site! I am in awe of the woman who writes the blog Brooklyn Limestone In Progress. Mrs. Limestone, as she is known on her Flickr account, does a wonderful job of sharing her phenomenal remodeling success on her Brooklyn home through gorgeous pictures and descriptive blogs. She also chronicles her travel experiences through engaging photography. She must be a professional photographer. In addition to her remodeling pictures she also shares pics of travels to exotic locales with her husband. And yes there is more! Now that her renovation is done, she is focusing on some hardcore Martha Stewart-esque creations. Menus for parties, artfully made Christmas cards, spatulas with personalized cards at a recent cookie exchange and charming buffets that are set up for life’s special events; these are just a small sampling of what resides on her intoxicating pages. As mentioned all of this is comingled with photography from her trips to Bali, Europe and, of course, Manhattan. Her photos are just gorgeous! Target Hosts Jean Paul Gaultier Starting March 7th
Another A-list designer is collaborating with Target. Jean Paul Gaultier will be bringing an American Muse inspired line to select Target stores staring March 7, 2010. I have seen many of the pictures as well as the promo video and while the line looks very youthful, I still think there are fun finds for any age. The trench and the leather coat are adorable. Many will recall that Gaultier and his most infamous muse, Madonna, provided some interesting catwalks moments in the 90s. You will see in the inspiration video that he is still paying homage to the Material Girl with his Rock Muse items. Tagged rebellious, feisty and provocative, the Gaultier line is a welcome addition to Target with price points to match. Take a peak for yourself. Note, there is limited availability in our area.
