Lifetime Fitness Perfect for Parents And Kids!
This gym, worthy of Hercules, houses a monster selection of free weights, cardio equipment, treadmills, lifecycles, elliptical machines, and Stairmasters. An array of classes including: cardio kickboxing, spinning, yoga, and low impact options as well. The club also has a full service salon and spa, a cafe and an indoor pool. What did it for me was the childcare center. They have a tube maze, computers, tons of toys and more. In addition to a lap pool, there is an awesome slide and fountains for kids. Member rates are competitive and offer monthly memberships. The childcare center does charge a small monthly fee. Little ones can check in for up to two hours. My trips include workouts, computer time (free Wi-Fi) in the café and even a cut, color and highlights. Lifetime offers personal trainers, a multitude of kiddie classes, and even kid’s birthday parties. Camps are also offered during the summer. I love to run. Unfortunately going it alone is a concern for me. Motivation and safety issues abound for me. I am very freaked out about running in a park by myself. Knowing my issues, a friend of mine suggested an awesome running group that meets in Burke Lake Park every week. Since my distance to the park was greater than my free time in the morning, I just sort of gave up on the idea. Enter seeMOMMYrun.com. seeMOMMYrun.com is a networking Web portal that allows moms to communicate and make their own arrangements for running or walking together in groups. The web site accommodates its members' geographic needs, time restraints, and fitness abilities without having to spend time away from their children because moms in every area or neighborhood can start a group convenient for themselves.
