California Wine Country
www.winecountry.com / & www.napavalley.com/
Simply a beautiful region of the US and a lovely romantic outpost for couples. The area is filled with activities. Check out the hot springs and mud baths in Calistoga. Take in the breathtaking view at Chappellett Vineyard in St. Helena. Grab a blanket and take in an outdoor concert in the Sonoma town square. While there, have dinner at Sonoma's The Girl & The Fig Restaurant. Of course, there is no shortage of vineyards to choose form for a wine tasting. I loved the Cakebread Vineyard. Noteworthy, take advantage of incredible rates via Jet Blue to Oakland, CA. Spend the night in San Francisco or immediately head to the Northern wine country. Shop room rates and don't be afraid to check out your favorite hotel chain. You can use points. Many major chains have beautiful properties that fit with the landscape.
Club Med ~ Turks & Caicos
www.clubmed.us/
Club Med is a wonderful, all-inclusive that won't break the bank. If you choose to go without the kidlets, I would recommend their resort in Turks & Caicos. Now you won't find four star accommodations, but you will love the atmosphere. I loved their breakfast shakes, cappuccinos by the pool in the morning, the white chocolate bread that is served for lunch and dinner and, of course, happy hour at Sharky's. Check out the amazing sandy beaches, gorgeous sunsets, prime time diving excursions. Club Med prices are about 1/2 that of local beachfront all-inclusive competitors. Again, this isn't the Ritz, but it is tons of fun in one of the best islands in the Caribbean. The resort has loads of activities. Save $$$ and book the land-only package and use miles for airfare. Check out the website for more info.
Club Med Resorts for Kids
www.clubmed.us/
The majority of the Club Med villages are now kid friendly and offer oodles for the entire clan. Kids' Clubs, babysitting services, cribs and other baby-me amenities are now available for a reasonable, all-inclusive rate. The Sandpiper resort in Port St. Lucie offers golf, rollerblading, sailing, and off site excursions for parents. Don't fret, kids ages 4 months to 17 years have fun in store for them. Kids and babies are broken down by age group for thoughtfully planned activities for each group. Check out the website for more information.

Florida – Orlando, Florida
www.visitflorida.com / & www.orlandoinfo.com/
From Disney to Universal Theme Park, what would we do without Orlando? Try as you may to avoid it, once you have kids you are drawn back to the Sunshine State. It is actually required by law that you take your kids at least twice before they go to college (yes twice)! Never fear, with the advent of the internet, trips to see Mickey can be a lot less expensive and less stressful! Don't forget to look at some of your offsite options. Parent's Magazine recently highlighted a suburban Orlando home, in a nice area, that rented for 1/3 of the cost of a hotel stay. Noteworthy, many theme parks, including Disney, now offer VIP passes that allow you to pay extra to avoid the long lines. Trust me, IT IS MONEY WELL SPENT!!
Florida - South Beach
Miami FL
www.miamibeachfl.gov/
Ahhh South Beach..the vibe, the people, the fashion, the food and the beach. I could rattle off 10 of my favorite restaurants, including Casa Tua and Joe's Stone Crabs, which make me want to get on a plane right now! You won’t be able to resist the SoBe allure. Start with breakfast as the Hotel Cordoza that overlooks the beach. Move past Gianni Versace's favorite coffee house and newspaper shop. On Saturday night make your way through the 30ft blowing white sheer curtains that greet you at the too cool Delano Hotel. Take in the Sunday afternoon soirees at the Raleigh Hotel and Nikki Beach or just laze by the pool or beach at your hotel. This spot just screams cool. Note, this is not a place for kids. This place is all about beach, eating and drinking. Oh so fun!
Antico Sole - Italy

I went to Italy for my honeymoon. I witnessed unforgettable views of the Isle of Capri and stayed at the most charming inn in Tuscany. I took in the riches of the Vatican and fell in love with Florence. Suffice to say, it was the most incredible trip of my life and I have traveled! What made all these memories and adventures possible was the travel company that I used to set the tour/trip up. Antico Sole had an ex-pat, Jennifer, work with me for hours over the courses of weeks to plan the trip. She provided extensive itineraries for each of stops in Italia. From semi-private walking tours of the Vatican to the perfect cliff side restaurant in Capri for my husband's birthday. It was all perfect! Every detail was covered. Contact well in advance to really enjoy the planning process.
